Anyways, last night I literally laughed out loud during the third quarter of the Lakers game. I've cheered, groaned, shouted, sighed, and chuckled before while watching a game, but never have I actually laughed and giggled to myself for almost an entire minute. How the hell did the Lakers not cover Peja? 10 of 13 from downtown for the game, 5 of 7 in the third quarter. It was glorious!
Granted, Paul wasn't making it easy on the Lakers as he drove relentlessly to the hoop over and over, and West and Butler were both clear threats to score, but come on. Take Luke Walton aside and tell him not to leave Peja for anything. Anything!
Another nice thing to see was Peja running the floor. One of his layups, his two free throws, and almost half his three pointers were from fast breaks or early offense. He has said all along he was just starting to get his legs back from his long rehab, so it's nice to know he was able to push that hard all game. I hope he can keep it up.
Tonight the Hornets play Portland again. I've already posted a positional analysis of Hornets-Blazers from the last time they met, and it's still pretty accurate. It's possible Jarrett Jack may not be starting, but Steve Blake is still going to be dominated by Chris Paul so it doesn't really matter. Oh, and LaMarcus Aldridge? He's not consistent. David West is better.
