Links! Hold the sausage!

I had some thoughts brewing about the Hornets bench and was going to put up a post about the second unit as a whole, but after last nights game I want to think on it a little longer. So instead, I'm going to throw some links at you.

• Dave Berri at the Wages of Wins Journal responded to my October challenge about some of the great shooters in the NBA and whether they were overhyped. I think the comments are leading us towards another interesting post by Dave Berri. Everyone make comments and force him to do more analysis for us!
• Ron Hitley over at Hornets247 wrote a nice review of the New Jersey game and the part Paul played in it. I made my wife watch the last 4 minutes with me again because it was such a ridiculous and awesome ending.
• I put up a post of my own over at my MVN blog about something else Chris Paul has added to his game.
• Queen City Hoops has a nice Efficiency page in development. You can take a look at the Hornets and the efficiency of their 10 most common lineups to date here.
• The Hornets are starting to get a little more attention because of their good start. A couple days ago Sean Deveney of the Sporting News put together a post that used "Chris Paul" and "MVP" in the same sentence, and the day before that Wendell Maxey of HoopsWorld wrote about David West and Morris Peterson. Good to see.
• Power Rankings Update: NBA.com ranks the Hornets 8th overall, ESPN.com 9th, Dime Magazine 6th, and SI.com ranks the Hornets 8th. But they'll always be number one with me!
