- The Hornets had 86 possessions, Indiana 100, mostly due to the boards. Hard to win when the opponent gets that many more times to score. So far the Hornets had topped 100 posessions in every game - 86 is slower than they were last year, and last year they were the 6th slowest team. Bleck.
- Peterson hit half his shots and broke double digits for the first time as a Hornet. He's just about doubled his scoring every game, and I fully expect him to keep that pace, so by the time the preseason ends he'll be averaging 80 points a game. Kiss them offensive troubles good-bye!
- The Hornets finally had a good-shooting night, hitting 32-65 shots for a 49.2% clip. They gave up 52% shooting, but who's playing defense in the pre-season?
- Despite not contributing to that good-shooting night(11-28, 39%) the starters did have nice offensive output due to the 31 fouls they drew. 42 points on 28 shots is good.
- Haluska went nuts, hitting 7-8 from the floor, 3-3 from downtown and going to the line 6 times. He didn't produce much else though(1 rebound, 3 turnovers) but it was nice seeing someone smokin'. So far, he's been one of our best scorers. At first that seemed really cool, but then it registered that our 13th man was one of our best scorers. I thought about breaking out the liquor, but decided not to, confident that Ron Hitley was tipping one back for me somewhere.
- Julian had a slow game, 20 minutes and no rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist. 3 points. C'mon Julian, that's not the Scottie Pippen development plan I laid out for you. That's the Cedric Simmons Plan to End Up Banished to Cleveland. I'm suspicious he had trouble because of the pace of the game - Julian seems to be a "wreak havoc in the open floor" sort of player, not a half-court guy.
- And the big question - Stojakovic played only 4 minutes. Why? Damnit - Ron, go down another one for me.

Pre-season Game - Run is done?
Coaches always claim their team is going to run during the season - it's a rare bird that will say they are going to take the air out of the ball and play station to station basketball. Well, Byron said they were going to run - but last night they must have forgotten. Some observations:
